Bobbie Vs. The Rabbit

bobbie vs rabbit
When we let Bobbie outside lately she runs straight for the shed in attempt to get a hold of the rabbit that must be living under it. She almost fits under the thing.

I'll laugh when she gets stuck.

Next year this shed-thing will be gone. It is a waste of space & we're thinking a nice patio or fire pit would be better for resale. Bobbie will have to go back to chasing the squirrels.

Rain! Finally!

I thought it was NEVER going to rain again. Our yard is completely yellow...all but the ivy in the front yard & the little bit of landscaping that survived my flower bed overhaul a few weeks ago.

Then I heard hope. I thought I heard thunder in the distance, then saw these beautiful dark clouds.
storms a comin

It was actually a pretty good storm. I'm a bit of a storm fanatic & insist on opening some windows & all doors to enjoy the event from inside. Growing up my brothers and I would go crazy for storms. I thought for sure one of us would become a storm chaser. I guess I've gotten the closest--chasing storms for the station.
rain!

more rain! notice the ugly front yard...my poor grass. Chris hasn't minded cause he hasn't had to mow in over a month!

MoMo2

Sunday we went bowling at MoMo2 with Michelle, Connor, Ian & Pam. We had a great time. That place is pretty kewl. I drive by it all the time since it's practically next to work, but never checked it out. A little pricey ($2 for a 20oz. coke, $4.50 smoothie's), but has a very contemporary, fun feel. Can't wait to go back to their private karaoke rooms that hold up to 10 people...sounds like my next birthday party! Yes, sometimes I revert back to being 12 years old, but let's be honest, most of my friends (Em, Carissa, Jenn...) would totally be down for that. lol

Chicago

I love, love, LOVE Chicago. It wasn't as NYC as I thought it would be. It was more Cbus on steroids. The city had a lot of Midwest feel, people were still polite, houses had yards (granted, they were usually small), and the shopping was awesome. I enjoyed getting around by train or bus. Not needing a car is a great feeling.

I had a great time with Elaine & her man Steve. When I got into town we went to Trader Joe's for some necessities. It was inside a tall building, so that was kindda weird. You had to make your way through this skinny parking garage which made it look so easy to just bump a few cars on the way in or out (we had Elaine's sisters car 'cause she was visiting, too). Then we went out to a club called Enclave. Very kewl. Looked like a warehouse outside, awesome inside. $20+ cover, but Elaine sweet talked & we got in for free (yay!). The clubs are open until 4am, but we pooped out much earlier.

This is on top of a closed restaurant near Elaine's place. We really wanted to swipe the hot dog for her apartment. We decided it'd be too heavy.

Two of Elaine's sisters live in Chicago now and Nikki & her husband Chris were visiting with their newborn, Ava, so we had some quality family time Sunday. Then Elaine & I went to this awesome Asian bistro, Thalia's, that had fantastic sushi! Mmmm...I'm still craving more.

Monday was sightseeing Photobucket

and, of course, shopping! We went to the Chicago Museum of Modern Art, but they were closed...darn.

Since we were downtown on Michigan Ave we decided to shop.

Then more shopping. We went to this awesome resale that had all designer clothes for awesome resale prices. Then an ALDO shoe sale store...basically an ALDO outlet. Got a cute pair for $15! Pam, you would have gone crazy in this store. $100+ ALDO shoes for $10-$50. Heaven.

I can't wait to go back to Chicago! It was blast.

Grizzly Bear & Radiohead

We made the trek up to Cuyahoga Falls for the Grizzly Bear & Radiohead concert Monday night. (Mainly Radiohead w/ a lil taste of Grizzly Bear)
Radiohead is unbelievable. They put on a fantastic show. And no, they did not play creep. We had an awesome time.

Cuyahoga Falls is a great venue, too. You can take in water & food (only a specific amount), but way better than Polaris/Germain was.

Thumbs Up for Radiohead's kewl stage set. Bright, isn't it? I got some great ideas to share with Tony when he starts video stuff in his new studio.

Thumbs Down for the gal who chose to puke near our blanket out of the thousands of other blankets (not to mention bathrooms & trash cans) nearby.

Honorary Thumbs Up for the nice people nearest the puke pile who covered it with plastic & a VOMIT sign warning those walking past it.
